Architectural assistance

Cherith International offers architectural assistance to likeminded organizations and vulnerable communities, such as the tea estate workers.

Although the former name of Sri Lanka, ‘Ceylon’ has become a synonym for one of the world’s finest teas, the high quality of Ceylon tea stands in sharp contrast to the quality of life of the tea pluckers. Many of these workers have been living for generations in often overcrowded and humid, barrack-like buildings.

Cherith International seeks to improve the living conditions of these tea estate families by providing affordable and decent housing through self-help activities.
